I'm working with Archie!

Hello, everyone,

Long time no talk!  Sorry, I've been busy with a lot of stuff; not the least of which being my website, www.knockonwoodruff.com.  I'll be updating there every Friday, so if you want to see more of my work, definitely check it out (and send me an e-mail at patrick@knockonwoodruff.com if you want to be put on my mailing list)!

Anyway, to the here and now.

I've been working at Macy's for the past month or so, as a sales associate in the men's department.  It does not pay well, it;s hot, and I have to deal with nasty bargain-hunting coupon-mongers every day while wearing a full suit.  Basically, as a college graduate, I am dissatisfied with the position.

But that's okay, because I put in my 2 week's notice today.  You see, a few friends of mine at Archie Comics recommended me for a new job opening at the Archie office, assembling their double digest books in Adobe InDesign.  I went for an interview, and it obviously went well, because I've got the job!

That's right, as of August 30th, I will be an Archie Comics employee.






It's kinda a weird feeling, working with the company that inspired me to be a cartoonist in the first place.  Not a bad one, mind you.  I just didn't figure that it'd happen so fast!

I'll still be doing personal artwork, and maybe even some official Archie or Sonic artwork at some point, too!
